Is It Possible to Build Faith In a Creator? Um…

For the most part the Watchtower and Awake! magazines stick to selling their views and managing the members of the Jehovah’s Witness community. Every once and awhile, however, they decide to take a pot shot at the nonbeliever. The latest Watchtower magazine in it’s article “Is It Possible to Build Faith in a [...]

Science Fair

On the weekend of February 14th and 15th, at the Har Mar Mall in Roseville MN, the Twin Cities Creation Science Association will be hosting the 2009 Home School Science Fair.  The fair will be just like any other school science fair.  I mean, just read the procedures they list on their web site:

Helium Lunatics

Today I received an email from the website Helium informing me that I had been granted “Premier Writer” status.  I thought this odd since I had only written three articles on the site.  Apparently the fact that those articles were well reviewed by Helium users had granted me the coveted “Premier Writer” badge.  Yippee!!

The Historical Jesus Puzzle – Part 1

I mentioned in a post last week that I had been in a conversation about the historicity of Jesus that I was considered turning into a blog post. Instead I went into introspection mode and talked about my childhood neuroses. That’s the kind of variety you get here at RyanSutter.net, you lucky reader [...]

Holding Back the Storm

The Botany of Desire: A Plant’s-Eye View of the [...]

RyanSutter.Net’s 700th Post!

This morning I tried riding my bike to the bus and taking it with me for the first time using the bike rack on the front of the bus. Two things to note: 1) I’m a moron for not doing this sooner and 2) I have no idea what the damn combination is to [...]

1 Thessalonians

I have a strange hobby.  I really get into Biblical textual criticism.  Is that weird?  Maybe so…
Today I was listening to a podcast discussion about whether there was evidence for the resurrection of Jesus.  I was finding the whole discussion moderately absurd because it seemed to be based on the idea that the Gospel accounts [...]
