For the first time in the last year I honestly believe there is a chance that Barack Obama will not be the next president of the United States and it scares me.

John McCain may be a cantankerous, dangerous, clueless, hypocritical liar, but when his political strategists decided to bring Palin in he benefited big time. She’s even more clueless, even more dangerous and completely unqualified to lead a sing along at a church, let alone a global superpower, but she has effectively done one thing: she’s galvanized the dipshit vote. And let me tell you, this country is just overflowing with dipshits.

Nobody cares about McCain, but lots of people are getting up in arms about Palin and just holding out hope that McCain kicks the bucket and Palin gets to lead. Obama seems to have lost his mojo and doesn’t know how to respond to this situation. I heard it suggested today that the best thing for Obama to do to counter Palin would be to drop Biden from the ticket and bring Hillary on. I don’t know if that would be the best decision or not but it feels like a good idea. Palin is Obama’s kryptonite and for the first time in this race it appears that he might just be beatable.

This cannot happen.

I know Obama is going to win my state, but if you live in a swing state it is imperative, absolutely vital that you do something, anything, to get the word out.

The mess in Washington, in our country, was caused by the Republicans. The housing crisis, the quagmire war, the high gas prices, the deficit, it’s all their fault. The answer is NOT more of their lies, more of their cronyism, more of their fear-mongering, more of their terrorism and exploitation of the American people. They will not bring change. Sarah Palin is NOT change. She’s a female George Bush only even more religious. McCain is NOT change. He’s an older, more violent George Bush. This is the most incompetent and dangerous duo to be put forth for election to the lands highest office and I include Bush and Cheney in that statement. They HAVE to be stopped or our economy is going to get worse and a lot of people are going to die.

Let me repeat. You are going to lose money and a lot of people are going to die.

This is not theoretical. Dead people, a demolished economy and lost homes. This is what the Republicans will give you. This is what they have given you. We get corpses, homelessness and poverty and they get millions of dollars for themselves and their buddies to buy houses with.

Whatever you can do to stop them. Anything. Please do it.
