I just got an email from Bill Clinton (yep, he and I are good buddies… heh heh) asking me to help pay off his wife’s “pesky campaign debt”.

This, I’m sorry to say, is actually fairly offensive.

Bill and Hill are multimillionaires. The only reason there IS a campaign debt is that she extended her campaign for months after it was already clear that she was beaten. It was her choice to run up the debt and she and her husband have resources far beyond any that I or the average American has access to. They just need to accept their losses, both financial and political, and move on. I highly doubt they’ll be in the poor house any time soon.

A multimillionaire former two-term President asking me to help his wife pay the bills. That is beyond absurd. If it was an active campaign, I could understand, but this? WTF?

Oh, and contributors are entered for a chance to win a meal with Hillary, who, Bill assures me, is fabulous dinner company. His favorite, in fact. He says he thinks I “should go for it and enter today”. Thanks man, but if you’re so broke you need my money, well, I’ll pass on the KFC or microwave burritos or ramen you guys are gonna have, no reason to force you to pick up the check. Oh, and Bill? I got a grill at home. You can come use it sometime if you like. I’ll even make you a burger.
