| I prefer to avoid controversy from here on out. I know what I believe and why, I know what I am doing with my life and where I am going, I do not want to offend or stumble others in this forum by talking about it though. I still have a blog, at http://www.ryansutter.net and I’m going to just stay over there and kinda close this chapter. I’ll feeel more comfortable saying whatever I want to say over there. This recent discussion with you has reminded me that I do not want to inadvertently offend or incite others so it’s just better to close this door. I am not going to be gone, far from it, but I am going to move my writing elsewhere so I’m not picked up and monitored by people who really don’t want to pick up and monitor what I have to say. Friends follow the friends lists of friends and it’s a network in which I am no longer a healthy participant for the others. Since I care about them, simply better to leave the network.Take care.

| I’m really sorry, Ryan. I didn’t mean to cause you to feel you have offended or stumbled me, and I really didn’t mean to push you away from LiveJournal. I respect your decision and admire the concern you have displayed that you might offend people.

| It’s not so much concern over offending or stumbling you personally. I don’t think that has happened and I’ve appreciated the conversation we’ve had. It’s just that I wonder about things like whether some 13 year old Witness is out there reading friends journal pages and just having fun and then stumbling across me debunking creationism and I’m not here to do that. I’m not here to tell somebody they shouldn’t have faith, even if I give the reasons why I don’t. There is a correct forum for me to express the things I have to say, I just don’t think this is it.Another reason for privatizing the rest of the journal is that it is somewhat painful for me personally to read it or to know it’s out here. I have gone through a tremendously difficult last 3 years and I am trying to pick up, move on, continue forward with my life. I don’t need it sitting out here on the Internet.
Anyhow, it’s not your fault that I decided to do this, the time was just right to move my voice to a new forum and I think the RyanSutter.net site makes more sense. Take care… Ryan |
