You know, I’ve been so dang excited about doing nuclear gopher again and it just keeps getting better. This morning I checked my email and I had a message from Giselle Drury who has a radio show on 88.5 FM in Sydney Australia. She was really excited about the return of Nuclear Gopher because she has been playing kloey on her show for some time now (with MP3’s she got at IUMA). Now she can finally contact us and get some CD’s sent her way. I am expecting that the number of events like this is going to increase. So far the new CD is gonna be reviewed by Shredding Paper magazine, probably get mentioned or reviewed in the Star Tribune, is gonna play on the K and probably will also get played on 1190 in Colorado. A nice start, considering that today is the official launch date. The snowball, she is rolling, no?
So I’m here at the bus station and it’s a brisk wind this morning. A bit too brisk. I feel like I could freeze to my keyboard. No sir, I don’t like it.
Life is good on basically every front right now. I’m back as the top Gopher-dog, the business plan guy for Tumblur is FINALLY going to work with us (just around the time I am going to meet some VC folks, nice how that works), I have a handle on my financial situation and it’s not stressing me out (it’s great to have a system), we had a really encouraging shepherding call on Saturday, we’re going to go watch Amelie projected on a big wall while sitting on a rooftop next sunday, we’re probably going to go see Bright Eyes play, I’ve lost weight and feel great, the Vikings are playing again, I’ve got a lot of ambition and ideas, I found my missing insurance cards… I mean, dang, it’s the first time in a long time that everything has been hitting this well. Just read my journal and you’ll see. I’ve been down and down and down and suddenly a few weeks ago it all sort of came back.
